Has anyone tried the mini panel available from Avsim and SurClaro?

minpamsedf_80_2.zip

In parrticular, can it be un-installed if it doesn't work out? Thanks

Ribitt

Hello,

Minipanel readme Smile

General:

Thank you for downloading my minipanel.
You can either choose to have the minipanel "as it is" on the W (ref.
snapshots: 1. Small Icons and 2. Other Instruments), or you can choose
to have the minipanel on W + the small icons: RWYINFO, GROUNDHANDLING
and AUTOLAND on your aircraft main panel as well (ref. snapshot: 3. The
tree Icons on the panel). I will try to explain have to do so under the
installing section.

Now, let us say you want to install the minipanel on your Boeing
747-400. First of all you must know where to do so. Take a look on the
aircraft. Go to Panel and open panel.cfg. Here you will find the
section Window00= main-Panel.

What you need:

Of the reasons that you need necessary gauges, informations etc., you
have to download the following:

1. RWYINFO, rwyinfo2.zip, find it here: http://www.fsbuild.com/rwyinfo/

2. GROUNDHANDLING, rcbgh-32.zip, find it here: http://www.avsim.com/
and Search for: rcbgh-32.zip*
3. AUTOLAND, autoland_v1.zip, find it here:
http://forums.surclaro.com/ftopic5722.html. This AUTOLAND is
not the best in the world, but it is free to use !

Of safety reasons I have include some of the common necessary gauge.
Extract them to FS2004\gauge.
All are freeware.

If you want to have the icons on your aircraft panel it is a good idea
to have FS Panel Studio for FSX to arrange the icons in the way you
like.

Before you do any modifications of your aircraft panel make a backup.

Installing the minipanel:

First of all extract the gauge.zip direct into your FS 2004\gauge by
overwriting the older one.

Go to the panel you want to alter and open panel.cfg. Here you will
find

If we use the example above, Boeing 747-400 ending with
Window04=TCAS-Panel, you should add the following tree lines by copying
and paste them just under the last Window #. If the last number is
different from Window04, then remember to alter the numbers so they are
continuous.

Window05=RwyInfo v2
Window06=Groundhandling
Window07=MiniPanel

and just after copy and paste the following:

gauge26=ConcPJD.clock, 695,637,110

//------------------------------------------------------

Now, start your FS2004 and load Boeing 747-400 click W and find your
new minipanel.

Installing the icons on your aircraft main-panel:

Go to the end of . Copy and paste the following:

gaugeXX=rwyinfo!v2_open, 115,593,60,20
gaugeXX+1=autoland!autoland_large, 130,656,25,25
gaugeXX+2=rcb_groundhandling4!Icon_Pushback, 130,622,25,25

and alter the numbers to the right numbers where XX is the next number.
Example: if the latest gauge-number is 70, then XX=71 and XX+1=72 and
XX+2=73

Please note that the number: 115,593 is the position on your aircraft
panel where the Icon will be placed and 60,20 ref. to the size of the
icon. Using FS Panel Studio panel editor utility make it much easier to
place an Icon and it's size exactly where and what you want it to be.
It is advisable, before you start your FSPanel Studio to alter the
positions of your new icons near existen icons to make it easy to find
them on the FSPanel Studio’s picture.

If you like my panel and want to change all your aircraft with this
minipanel you have to do so for each one of them.

That will be all

Enjoy!

Remember the silver rule, always backup a copy, or 2, of any CFG file
you modify. Then never never modify that backup CFG file.
